Staying Home Leaving Violence

Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) works in partnership with women (or those identifying as female), children, and relevant services to address the barriers that may prevent women from leaving and remaining separated from their abusive partner. Women separated from a violent partner but who continue to experience abuse from their ex-partner are a priority for the program.

We aim to support women and children:
- To be free from Domestic Family Violence (DFV) in their own home and remain so over time.
- To experience long term stability in housing, income, education and healthy relationships.

Staying Home Leaving Violence may include:
- Specialised support to help you remain safe from DFV.
- Risk Assessment and Safety Planning
- Strategies to reduce DFV risk and barriers to leaving
- Support to maintain safe and secure housing.
- Assistance to remain connected to your employment, training or education and to your community.
- Wellbeing support for children, ensuring stability in education, childcare and activities.
