MFSS works with members of our community who have been impacted by natural disasters such as bushfires and floods, to ensure they receive the support they need for their mental health, to promote healing from traumatic experiences, and develop coping skills to deal with future disasters and other challenges.

We also work more broadly with community partners and emergency agencies to support a planned, coordinated and responsive approach to future disasters. This work aims to equip individuals and the community with the tools they need to shape the steps in their own recovery and preparedness activities. They are also equipped with the tools to know where they can access services, resources and support.
